The House of Givenchy debuted its second collaboration with Disney, just in time for the dog days of summer. The French luxury label unveiled a limited edition collection with Disney and the beloved dogs from the 1961 animated film “101 Dalmatians.” The collection hits the Givenchy website and select stores on July 1, 2022. The pet friendly line offers ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, jewelry, and a stylish leather dog leash.

In a statement from Matthew M. Williams, creative director of Givenchy, he says the ongoing collaboration with Disney is due, in part, to his personal love for the entertainment company. He said to Elle.com, “Growing up in California, Disney was always part of my life. I always loved going to Disneyland with my parents, and now, as a father, I love taking my kids to Disneyland Paris”. This is not the first collaboration that Givenchy and Disney have worked on together, and we doubt it will be the last.
The main color scheme of the collection is of course black and white, paying tribute to the beloved Disney dalmations. While red and light pink act as accent colors in sweatshirts, jerseys, slides, handbags, and bucket hats.

In 2013, Givenchy and Disney teamed up to create a Bambi themed collection. Now, in addition to the dynamic duo’s second collection together, they have created a short film that follows the 101 Dalmatians on their adventure around Paris. The film was overseen by Disney animator Eric Goldberg and stars creative director Matthew M. Williams, Kate Moss and Cruella De Vil.
What do you think Givenchy and Disney will partner on next? Perhaps a collection featuring Aristocats, Lady and the Tramp, Dumbo, or my personal favorite Fox and the Hound. Let us know in the comments below.
