Since 2020 Madelyn Cline has come to fame thanks to her role in the Netflix hit show, Outer Banks. She co-starred in the teen adventure drama, where her character Sarah Cameron hunted for treasure and fought off villains. Outer Banks quickly became one of the service’s most streamed shows, with their latest season available to watch now. Along with her career defining role as Sarah Cameron, she also played the character Whiskey in the sequel to the Knives Out thriller, The Glass Onion, alongside co-stars Janelle Monáe, Kate Hudson, and Daniel Craig.
The Outer Banks characters are known for their beachy laid back sense of style in the show, but Cline’s red carpet looks could not be more fashionable. Unlike her character, Sarah Cameron, who is often styled in denim cut off shorts, crop tops, and sneakers, Cline dresses with understated luxury. She partnered with brands such as Maje, Tommy Hilfiger, and Stella McCartney, as seen on her Instagram. Cline said in an interview with Cosmopolitan that she took her first big paycheck from Netflix and went straight to Urban Outfitters. Fans of Outer Banks, mostly Gen Z, look to Cline for street style inspiration as the star has quickly become a trailblazer not only in the entertainment industry, but also in fashion. The Netflix star is also a fan of American Eagle where she landed a brand ambassador deal with the retail company. Netflix later debuted an exclusive limited edition Outer Banks collection with American Eagle featuring beachy pieces similar to those worn in the hit show.
